AI Content Creator is Smartcat's content generation engine. You can use it to create new content for use cases in any department or organizational function, including sales, marketing, product, user experience, and human resources.
What does AI Content Creator do?
AI Content Creator enables you to generate content of many types.
These include:
- blog articles
- white papers
- social media posts
- email sequences
- ebooks
- internal documentation
- web landing pages
- content outlines
Smartcat acts as a central storehouse for your content. This means that, when you generate new content, it is directly informed by your already-existing content stored on Smartcat.
As a result, your newly-generated content is on brand with tone of voice, terminology, and knowledge about your company, product, and target market. You can also choose to generate new content from scratch, with no contextual content resources added to inform the new content generation.
Understanding AI Content Creator modes: Generate and Ask
There are two “modes” for you to choose from: Generate & Ask.
🔄 How to use Generate
Follow these steps to generate new content.

Select Generate
Step 2
Write a prompt for AI Content Creator.
Example: Write a press release about USANA Health.
Step 3
Smartcat AI retrieves the top 10 similar texts from your content storehouse on Smartcat.
The first three are shown to you on-screen. You can choose to add these additional content contexts as references to inform your new content generation or load more results (up to ten).
Step 4
Smartcat AI Content Creator processes your prompt and generates your new content automatically.
Step 5
You can make edits to the generation with additional prompts.
Example: Make the generated content shorter and more succinct.
🔄 How to use Ask
Follow these steps to ask AI Content Creator questions.
Step 1
Select Ask
Step 2
Write your question. This might be a question about your own company or about Smartcat processes.
Example: How can I translate video files with Smartcat?
Step 3
AI Assistant processes the prompt and generates an answer.
It searches all your indexed organization, stored on your Smartcat central record of content, as well as on Smartcat Help Center.
Step 4
Ask additional questions. If you want more information, feel free to ask AI Content Creator more questions.
NOTE: in both Generate and Ask modes, AI Assistant looks for contextual content only once, at the beginning of your chat. If you want to ask another question, restart the chat.
